OUR LLAMAS & ALPACAS
Each one of our Safe Haven residents has an interesting an unique life story. Often it is heartbreaking. But when a llama or alpaca is adopted out to a good home, their story - their life - generally takes on a more heartwarming tone. Some of our residents, like Arley and Chilli will remain at Safe Haven for the rest of their lives, as they have special needs or are simply too old to relocate. But others are temporary guests, waiting for the right caretaker to offer them a new, compassionate life experience.
We invite you to get to know some of our permanent and adoptable residents and to appreciate, as we do, the depth and variety of their personalities. The following life stories - though necessarily brief - will help you gain insight into both the bright and dark moments these sensitive, curious and intelligent animals have endured prior to being rescued and placed in our sanctuary. Remember, this is just a sampling of the many llamas and alpacas we have rescued. Let us know if you are interested in learning more about any of these animals and how you can easily sponsor or adopt your favorite ones.
